Not at all. Algebra 1 is designed to be accessible from Year 7/8 ability upwards. We start from clear foundations and build progressively.

Is there overlap with Algebra 2?

Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 are sequenced. Algebra 1 covers foundational through to solid intermediate algebra. Algebra 2 picks up from there with more advanced content.
